Mission Statement
WISDOM OF THE HEART & MIND
At Forsan British School staff, parents and students work together to:
- deliver an outstanding education, that prepares our students for the future as life-long learners;
- ensure that, as educators, we are committed to our own professional development through critical self-reflection, training and sharing of good practice;
- build a community where all are valued and respected;
- set and achieve the highest standards in all we do; and
- contribute to our local and the wider community as citizens, employees and leaders.
Our Core Values: Curiosity, Courage & Charity
- Curiosity: all learning and human progress begins with a question
- Courage: to have the confidence to ask; the bravery to stand up for what is right
- Charity: we are at our best when we respond to the needs of others, home or abroad
All these can be summarised as Chivalry: the code of the Knight
Knights of the Past
Throughout history, across nations and cultures, the figure of the Knight has been an inspiration:
- The Knight and his lord – a model of service, loyalty and courage
- The Knight and his page – a model of care and instruction
- The Knight and his horse – a model of respect for and stewardship of nature
Knights of the Present
To this day the award of a knighthood, or its equivalent, remains one of the highest honours a country can bestow. How appropriate that the bullies of the internet are colloquially known as Trolls, the mythical evil creatures that the valiant knight would encounter and defeat.
Knights of the Future
At Forsan British School we educate our students to be the leaders of tomorrow and as our alumni grow in number we look forward to their success.
